We are recruiting for a  Manufacturing Tracking Specialist for our location in Peterborough, ON. BWXT NEC's Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions group is involved in the design, manufacture, development, testing, parts supply, and service of on-power refueling, reactor maintenance, and nuclear medicine delivery tooling sold around the world. We are the original designer of the automated systems that allow 24/7 on power refueling of CANDU reactors and aim to solve some of the Nuclear Industry’s most challenging problems. Today, BWXT’s equipment is being used in most of the nuclear power plants in Canada and is critical to delivering carbon free energy production and lifesaving medical isotopes.

Our Role:

The Manufacturing Tracking Specialist takes the lead in communicating with internal customers and facilitating the timely completion of various internal tollgates. Taking on a broad variety of tasks and is involved in several aspects of the business.Acting in a key role whole supporting the overall Manufacturing and Parts teams. Tasks include, coordination of project documentation and timing of supporting documentation review, assists in coordination of the material readiness, coordination of internal work orders. This positions will also develop process improvements based on internal/external customer feedback and key performance indicators to Manufacturing Engineering and Parts teams.

Your Day to Day:

• •  Key factors for success are assisting a diverse team, managing and achieving results through influencing and setting of expectations/actions, engineering and product excellence, effective support of resource allocation and activity management, task/milestone completion on-time/onbudget.
  • Takes the lead in coordination of project documentation approvals / submissions to align with overall project schedules.
  • Coordinate material readiness for all internal work orders according to production schedules.
  • Proactively identify potential delays and take necessary actions to minimize their impact on project schedules.
  • Seek continuous improvement to internal procedures and programs.
  • Support the resolution of internal issues to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Maintain individual allocation targets, enforce budget adherence and review job budgets and runout estimates as necessary.
  • Participate in internal meetings, such as project tracking, customer reporting, problem solving, continuous improvement, etc.

Qualifications:

• • College Diploma or University Degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of business office processes and practices acquired through a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including an understanding/knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills, with a high attention to detail, commitment to process improvement and ability to multi-task.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills, ability to work well under pressure with tight timelines, experience dealing with multiple conflicting priorities and the know-how to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
  • Proven problem solving skills.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $68,000 and $90,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
