Project Controls Specialist  – Enrichment Operations 

 

Position Summary

The Project Controls Specialist (Entry Level) supports project managers and engineering teams by providing essential planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting for projects within our enrichment operations facility. This role ensures project activities are monitored accurately and helps maintain compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals beginning their career in project management, finance, engineering, or business operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules, including task sequencing, resource assignments, and milestone tracking.
  • Support cost management activities by collecting data, updating cost reports, and monitoring budget performance.
  • Prepare routine project status reports, including schedule updates, cost trends, risks, and progress summaries.
  • Help track project change requests and maintain documentation ensuring alignment with approved scopes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to gather information needed for schedule and cost updates.
  • Participate in project meetings and record action items, decisions, and follow‑up requirements.
  • Maintain project records, logs, and documentation in accordance with site procedures and regulatory expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Controls function.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Project Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other basic analytical tools
  • Ability to learn scheduling or cost management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)

Preferred:

  • Internship or co-op experience in a technical or project-related environment
  • Familiarity with industrial, manufacturing, or nuclear operations settings
  • Understanding of basic project management principles (scope, schedule, cost, risk)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced operational environment

Work Environment

This role operates within our enrichment operations facility and may require occasional time in technical or industrial areas. Appropriate training and protective equipment will be provided.

Pay: $60,000 - $90,000

 

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $60,000 and $90,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
