BWXT’s Nuclear Operations Group - Lynchburg is currently seeking a Filler Manufacturing Operations Facility Support Engineer for its Lynchburg, VA location!

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Develops, initiates, and tracks new system/facility design to support production and development needs.
  • Works directly with support organizations to assure Capital and Abnormal projects maintain schedule and budget.
  • Provides technical support to existing production systems and campaigns. 
  • Supports Operations department production goals. 
  • Initiates and peer reviews SERs, CHGs, Tool Requests and N420s as required. 
  • Resolves daily manufacturing issues in a team environment. 
  • Manages multiple projects daily simultaneously.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is required. Internal candidates with a Physics Degree who are already on the Engineering Ladder are also eligible.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment is required.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, as well as independently, is required.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to work in a controlled area.
  • Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
