Position Overview:
Responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes at NOG-J (HPDU). This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement, ensuring that products and services meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Your Day to Day as a Manager – Quality: 

  • Develops, implements, and maintains the quality management system (QMS) in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA).
  • Ensures that quality policies, procedures, and standards are effectively communicated and adhered to throughout the organization.
  • Oversees quality assurance activities to ensure that products meet specified quality standards before release.
  • Oversees quality activities in the Chemistry Laboratory and work to develop the appropriate capabilities within the Laboratory.
  • Conducts regular inspections, audits, and assessments to evaluate compliance with quality standards and practices.
  • Identifies areas for quality improvement and implements corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate issues.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
  • Develops and delivers quality training programs for employees to enhance their understanding of quality processes and standards.
  • Provides ongoing support and guidance to staff regarding quality-related issues.
  • Analyzes quality data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports on quality performance, issues, and improvements to senior management.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards through regular audits and assessments.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manages communications during inspections.
  • Engages with customers to understand their quality expectations and feedback.
  • Addresses customer complaints and implements corrective actions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Works closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure that quality is integrated into all stages of product development and delivery.
  • Acts as a quality advocate, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, engineering, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management or quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing or service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Six Sigma) are a plus.

Pay: $99,000 - $157,000

 

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $99,000 and $157,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
