Position Overview:
As our Methods Analyst, you will support the Manufacturing Engineering team by preparing and maintaining manufacturing documentation that meets quality system requirements and supports efficient shop operations. Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will help ensure accurate, compliant, and up-to-date documentation while contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and operational excellence.

Your Day to Day as our Methods Analyst:

  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, including SAP shop routings and production orders.
  • Create and revise work instructions to support production, repairs, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and shop personnel to define manufacturing processes, tooling, materials, and resource requirements.
  • Develop and maintain production time standards using historical data and time studies to support scheduling and performance.
  • Coordinate material and subcontracting requirements with Manufacturing Engineering, Project Planning, and Supply Management.
  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate, compliant, and up-to-date documentation.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while receiving guidance and mentorship from senior engineers and your manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; CET designation considered an asset.
  • 3–10 years of experience in a heavy fabrication manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing process flow, operation sequencing, and production documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and practical application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in the Nuclear industry.
  • Experience with AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D design software (or similar) considered an asset.
  • Experience with SAP is considered an asset.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $67,000 and $84,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
