Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Marketing will lead the development and execution of strategic and integrated marketing initiatives to expand brand awareness and drive marketing campaigns for key business areas and products. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, including content development and campaign management. The senior manager will oversee a team of two focused on division marketing and trade show execution and will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align marketing efforts with business objectives.

Your Day to Day as a Senior Manager, Marketing

  • Develop and execute strategic marketing, capture marketing, and brand marketing initiatives to support key business areas and products.
  • Lead high-impact marketing projects with notable risk and complexity, developing and executing strategies to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Solve unique and complex marketing challenges with broad implications for the business, leveraging conceptual and innovative thinking to create effective solutions.
  • Oversee division marketing efforts and trade show execution, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing strategies with business objectives and provide regular updates on progress.
  • Anticipate internal and external business challenges, including regulatory considerations, and proactively adapt marketing strategies to address them.
  • Develop processes and standards to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across marketing activities.
  • Manage marketing budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Lead and mentor marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.

Required Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or business.
  • At least 15 years of experience in strategic marketing, capture marketing, and brand marketing.
  • Proven ability to lead complex marketing initiatives, including developing strategies for high-risk, high-impact projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address unique challenges and deliver innovative solutions that drive business results.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and navigate business challenges and regulatory issues, aligning marketing efforts to meet organizational goals.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and executive engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in development and delivery of executive briefings.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in processes and operations.
  • Hands-on experience with content development and campaign execution.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an U.S. DOE clearance

Pay: $86000 - $136000

 

The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $86000 and $136000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
