Position Overview:

To perform general daily operations associated with the bulk and radiopharmaceutical production areas. Work performed may include clean room and equipment disinfecting and maintenance, ordering and maintaining supplies and providing assistance to bulk and radiopharmaceutical technicians with order preparation and packaging.

On-site in Vancouver, BC

Your Day to Day as a Laboratory Assistant:

Will be required to carry out, under guidance and supervision, some or all of these duties:

1. Vial/receptacle preparation and labeling.
2. Washing glassware.
3. Order inventory, stock and maintain supplies in designated areas.
4. Clean room disinfecting and maintenance.
5. Dry ice handling.
6. Labeling of product components.
7. Handles, packages, assembles and moves product components and customer orders.
8. Viable / non viable monitoring.
9. Some chemical preparation.
10. Equipment preparation and sterilization.
11. To perform other related duties as appropriate to this level.

Required Qualifications:

• High School education with some post secondary training or 2 years relevant work experience in chemistry, physics or biology.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow technical procedures.
• Must be able to perform work to established Standard Operating Procedures and process control records.
• Must have good record keeping abilities.
• Must be familiar with all aspects of clean room and equipment disinfecting.

The pay range for this position in British Columbia (CA-BC) is expected to be between $64,513  and $79,055 per year.  The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
