Position Overview:

The Remediation Manager will report directly to the Kesselring Site Manager and provide guidance to field and supervisory personnel.

Kesselring Site, West Milton, New York

 

Your Day to Day as a Remediation Manager:

  • Provides oversight and leadership for all field and supervisory personnel to ensure the highest safety, environmental, radiological and operational standards are maintained.
  • Assigns appropriate supervision and personnel support to specific tasks.
  • Monitors training status of personnel to ensure qualified and trained personnel are available for scheduled tasks
  • Responsible for daily administration, employee relations, and team building for the Remediation department.
  • Responsible for employee reviews, merit advancements, and personnel investigations. Makes recommendations regarding disciplinary actions for the organization.
  • Ensures the work force is adequately supplied with materials and equipment.
  • Responsible for management follow of D&D work efforts.
  • Ensures safety, environmental controls, radiological controls, productivity, and individual training and work practices at the job site are commensurate with requirements.
  • Audits work in progress to assure compliance with established procedures.
  • Performs employment interviews and makes hiring decisions.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires a B.S. degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the area of radiological and remediation work. 
  • 10 years of NR experience may be substituted for the educational requirement upon customer approval.
  • Must be physically qualified to perform duties of the job description.    
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and be able to produce reports, presentations, and communications as requested.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter.  Position requires U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship) with ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.

Pay: $112,000 - $177,000

 

The base salary range for this position in New York (US-NY) at the start of employment is expected to be between $112,000 and $177,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
