Supplier Document Expeditor
We are looking for a Supplier Document Expeditor for our Peterborough, Ontario site. At BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. (BWXT NEC), we are committed to excellence in every business initiative. JOB SUMMARY:
The Supplier Document Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing and reporting of documents within Supply Chain. This role involves coordinating with various departments and suppliers, maintaining document control systems, and ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interfacing with the Supplier:
- Expedite Suppliers on missing and late document submittals.
- Interface with internal departments:
- Work with Document Control on status of documents.
- Work with all departments on status of documents.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Develop reporting and improvements to reports in order to ensure buyers and other internal customers have the information they need.
- Reports:
- Update document status reports for each project.
- Update reports on Purchase Orders, Transmittal Reports, Non Conformances, Corrective Actions as required.
- Compliance:
- Understand and ensure compliance with applicable external codes, regulations and guidelines as well as internal standards set by BWXT.
- Administration:
- Follow all company policies and health and safety procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times when required.
- Report any personal workplace injuries to direct supervisor immediately.
- Report safety issues to direct supervisor as soon as possible.
- Maintains an acceptable level of performance by following established policies and procedures and participate in continuous improvement efforts by supporting and implementing new ideas.
- Sets a positive example by maintaining a respectful attitude, cooperating with co-workers, management, and internal and external customers.
- Be a productive team member and help meet established departmental and Company goals.
- Report to work for your regularly scheduled shifts on time and ready to work.
- Effectively give and receive feedback and willingly ask questions and seek direction when needed.
- Willingly accepts responsibility of sharing skills and knowledge with other employees.
- Perform all other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in records management.
- Clear understanding of the section's responsibilities, procedures and methods of operation.
- Post-secondary education in Administration, Business or related program.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in document control in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in the aerospace, defense or nuclear industry an asset.
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Access abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively, prioritize and meet set deadlines.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $60,000.00 and $82,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
