JOB OVERVIEW:
Tasks cover a broad spectrum relating to general accounting, supporting year-end audit, planning and analysis, controllership, and various projects depending on workload and timing. Specific task examples include variance analysis, month end reporting, job cost administration, transactional support of Accounts Payable & Receiving, transactional support for time entry, and improvement/digitization projects.

Your Day to Day:
- Processes and reconciles all vendor related invoices.
- Assists in coordinating bi-weekly payment runs.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating vendor supply list as needed.
- Prepares and maintains month end journal entry checklist.
- Prepares and posts month end journal entries.
- Assists in development and communication of annual budget and forecast.
- Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Analyze general accounts and identify, recommend or prepare journal entries/accruals as required.
- Assists with the annual financial audit as required.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service.
- Liaison with all BWXT intercompany sites as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a General Accounting or similar role.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence decisions and interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to produce high quality work-product in a time-sensitive fashion.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $45,000.00 and $64,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
