Position Overview:
As our Sr. Financial Analyst , you will be reponsable to ensure that Financial Statements are accurate and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Performs a variety of financial activities including, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and assisting with close processes.

Your Day to Day as Sr. Financial Analyst:
- Responsible for the month-end close that encompass journal entries, financial statements review, ensuring compliance with accounting principles; prepare month-end reports including performance analysis of major cost drivers, foreign exchange exposure and other routine and ad-hoc transactions.
- Responsible for quarter-end and year-end financial reporting
- Support Commercial Operations Finance group
- Responsible for inventory control including closing WIP jobs, checking inventory balances and updating product cost when necessary
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for Working Capital items
- Provide finance support for Kanata medical isotope group, including revenue, product cost analysis, cost centre and project spending analysis.
- Support ad-hoc requests from Accounting Manager and the Leadership team.
- Provide input to Cash Flow projections
- Ability to create reports using Spreadsheet Server addon to Microsoft Excel
Required Qualifications:
- CPA Professional Accounting Designation preferred; or currently pursuing CPA designation; or MBA
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Financial Analyst or Technical Accountant role
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Proficient in Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated skill on OneStream will be an asset
- Demonstrated skills in establishing strong working relationships with senior executives, internal/external customers, suppliers, contractors and team members.
- Previous experience with Oracle and/or SAP financial systems considered as asset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written working in a team environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity and take initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing industry (Inventory) would be an asset
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems (SAP, Oracle).
- Proficiency with financial planning and reporting tools (Hyperion, OneStream).
- Experience leveraging business intelligence and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau) to drive insights and decision-making.

The hourly rate for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$85,000 and $$129,000 per hour. The rate offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
