BWXT Medical is hiring a Senior IT Project Manager at our production facility in Kanata, ON. This individual will also be involved with other BWXT locations within southern ON.

Position Overview:
The Senior IT Project Manager is a strategic, innovative, and seasoned resource, with a broad range of IT experience, who manages the initiation, planning, execution, control, budget and closing of strategic, complex, high-value IT projects and programs of varying size.
This is a hands-on, task-level project management position.
Work You’ll Do:
- Drive the successful execution of critical, complex, high-value IT projects; manage the strategic direction and day-to-day tactical aspects of projects to meet aggressive deadlines.
- Develop the strategy for IT project execution: defining project scope, general specifications, resource requirements, schedule, and cost estimate baselines.
- Develop and manage IT project budgets, manage external vendors, and lead vendor selection.
- Work with business to develop return on investment (ROI) and obtain management approvals.
- Develop and maintain IT project schedules and estimates in BWXT's PMO tools, maintain project team SharePoint Site and accurate project documentation.
- Pro-actively manage IT project schedules, resources, budget, change control, issues and risks, escalating as necessary to ensure barriers are removed and projects meet their schedules.
- Ensure project scope, schedule, budget, quality and associated metrics are available and accurate and meet PMO standards and guidelines.
- Ensure project management approaches are consistent, measurable and aligned with the IT PMO standards and best practices.
- Ensure that the solution meets the needs of the enterprise and business unit representatives, and oversees the quality aspects of the project and resulting solution.
- Assist in the implementation of project management tools and methodologies.
- Champion the promotion of integrity in all projects, ensuring the projects are run effectively and with proper governance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline with a minimum of 10 years of related project management experience managing concurrent multiple complex IT projects, including Applications (ERP, MES, Supply Chain, Time & Labor, Financial), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure solutions.
- Strategic, visionary with strong business acumen, proven ability to define solutions and solve problems through conceptual and innovative thought process.
- Proactively anticipates and resolves challenges.
- Expert understanding of automation tools and information technology. Advanced Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and Visio expertise.
- Proven success in the ability to define, organize, manage and deliver projects, meeting scope,quality, schedule and budget. Proven success in proactive issues and risk management.
- Experience and knowledge with the project management body of knowledge.
- Must have excellent and effective inter-personal, leadership and communication skills.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory issues and requirements associated with IT systems supporting the manufacture of medical isotopes, radiopharmaceuticals, and/or medical devices is considered an asset.
