Position Overview:

BWXT Medical Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and driven R5 Quality Control Technician to join our dynamic team at our production facility in Kanata, Ontario.

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the integrity and safety of our products by performing quality control analyses from raw materials through to finished goods. Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, you’ll apply your expertise in chemistry and microbiology to support our mission of delivering high-quality medical solutions.

This position is classified as a Nuclear Energy Worker.

 

 Location:

On-site in Kanata, Ontario

 

Your Day to Day as a Job Title:

  • Conducting quality control analyses on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Performing routine monitoring of controlled environments, systems, and facilities to maintain operational excellence
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of observations, test results, and data evaluations for regulatory and internal review
  • Ensuring production processes align with established operating procedures, product specifications, GMP regulations, and ISO standards

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Normally, completion of a 3-year Technologist Diploma or a B.Sc. in a science-related discipline
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in chemistry or microbiology
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities with a collaborative mindset
  • Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including regularly scheduled weekend shifts, in accordance with the collective agreement

The pay range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) is expected to be between $72,315  and $90,605 per year.  The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
