Position Overview
The Project Coordinator works to support the efficient planning and execution of projects with a flexible skillset covering various elements of Project Management. In working closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators may be delegated responsibility for some elements of project management like periodic data collection and/or reporting. Project Managers may also have Project Coordinators support any aspect of their assigned project as appropriate and if supported by the Project Management Organization Manager.
Work You’ll Do:
- Contribute to the successful execution of assigned contracts by assisting the Project Manager with delegated tasks.
- Facilitate the routine and periodic flow of data to ensure accurate project and portfolio reporting and analysis.
- Help maintain the project schedule and register, leveraging the support of the project team.
- Ensure timely and accurate publication of project reports as outlined in the contract.
- Coordinate the assignment of resources—both human and material—for effective contract execution.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of scheduled activities.
- Safeguard project baselines to preserve the integrity of performance data.
- Provide administrative support for subcontracting activities.
- Uphold organizational governance and departmental procedures throughout contract execution.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing governance, procedures, tools, and best practices.
- Maintain and apply governance standards, procedures, and tools within the Project Management Organization.
- Participate in audits through routine checks, tests, and interviews to ensure compliance.
- Report on adherence to, and deviations from, established governance and procedures.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on project and change initiation activities.
- Ensure the integrity of project and portfolio data across systems such as scheduling, ERP, and other databases.
- Act as a deputy to Project Managers when mutually agreed upon and appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Demonstratable understanding of scheduling practices and concepts.
- Demonstratable understanding of project management fundamentals like, scheduling, earned-value management, budget controls, and change management.
- Demonstratable strength in organizing, and presenting large and diverse data sets.
- Demonstratable experience with visual analytic software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of related industry experience;
- Experience in the nuclear energy production industry;
- High level of competency with Oracle Primavera P6;
- High level of competency with Microsoft Excel;
- Project Management Professional certification.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$63,000.00 and $$98,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
