Position Overview:

  1. Establishing GMP applications to digitize quality and manufacturing systems.
  2. Supporting the development, maintenance and lifecycle management (LCM) of new GMP computerized systems.
  3. Maintenance and LCM of established GMP digital systems.

Location:

On-site in Kanata, Ontario

 

Your Day to Day as a GMP Computerized Systems Specialist:  

  • Oversee and manage all digital sustems, including softwarte applications, databases, and network resources
  • communicate and resolve issues with the vendor
  • Regularly perform updates and maintenance on existing systems to ensure optimal performace and security 
  • Supports the development and assessment of new computerized systems
  • Reviews and recommend changes to provesses and systems to meet requirements, improve efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Identifies and initiates improvement projects 
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to design, develop, and integrate new modules and features into existing systems to support evolving business requirements 
  • Maintain the life cycle of digital processes 
  • Participates in the development of strategic quality objectives as they pertain to digitization 
  • Provide technical support and traning to users, addressing any issues that arise to enhance user experience. Provides coaching and training to a broad and diverse group of users 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for digital systems, upgrades, configurations changes or module developments for system processes
  • Ensures that computerized systems are developed, validated and implemented as per system and GMP requirements and relevant regulations and standards 
  • Ensure all systems adhere to organizational and regulatory compliance standards, safegaurding data integrity and security
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate BEng and/or Information Technology or Computer Science or realted with at least 5 years relevant computerizred systems experience 
  • Experience configuring digital systems 
  • Experience developing, implementing and maintaining computer systems and life cycle management 
  • Experience working in a regulated enviroment e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 90001, GAMP 5. 
  • Experience and knowledge of GMP systems. Experience in a manufacturing enviroment is considered an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solcving skils to enable troubleshooting and problem resolution with tight timelines 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams 
  • Experience with developing and implementing related training
  • Experience working in enviroments under formal design and change control 
  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Led and implemented continuous improvement activities 
  • leadership skills and ability to negotiate complex issues with stakeholders who have cross fuctional interests and priorities 
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with the manyfacturing of medical isotopes, radiopharmaceuticals and/or medical devices is considered an asset.

The hourly rate for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$73,000 and $$109,000  per hour. The rate offered is based on market location and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
