Position Overview:
Assists in troubleshooting, custom maintenance and repairs, project activities and research technical support and development. Assembles equipment and runs tests & experiments. Assists in commissioning new processes, products, equipment and facilities. 

Location: 
On-site Kanata, Ontario
 
WORK PERFORMED:
  • Assists in troubleshooting equipment and facilities. Assists in custom maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • Performs tasks associated with process technical support and new process or product development projects as directed.
  • Assembles equipment, runs and performs experiments to established drawings, specifications and procedures. Gathers data for analysis and reports results. 
  • Provides technical advices as directed.
  • Assists on consulting jobs. 
 
EDUCATION  and EXPERIENCE:
  • Technologist diploma (3-year) plus 3 years of relevant technical experience.
     
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be able to read and comprehend drawings, schematics, specifications and technical literature.
  • Be familiar with validation practises and company master validation plan
  • Revalidation of ciritical pieces of equipment
  • Demonstrated capability to write technical documentation.
  • Must be resourceful, creative and objective.
  • Be knowledgeable about radiation and industrial hazards and the techniques to reduce these hazards.
  • Be familiar with company organization, practices, policies and procedures.
  • Have good manual dexterity and grip strength.
  • Push and pull hand carts with a force of up to 25kgs on an occasional basis.
  • Lift up to 5kgs on a frequent basis and 10kgs on an occasional basis.
  • Work with arms/hands on a frequent basis.
  • This position requires the successful completion of a Health & Hygiene medical assessment, vision screen and hearing test as a pre-employment condition.
 
 

 

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $68,871 and $90,605 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
