Intech International Inc. (a subsidiary of BWXT Canada Ltd.) is seeking a Resource Coordinator - Remote




Reporting to the Resource Manager, the Resource Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination and administration of all aspects of a strategic staffing and resource management program in support of large-scale nuclear projects.  This, in part, includes planning, recruiting, staffing, logistics, and time and cost reporting.  Responsible for the delegation of work tasks and responsibilities to Resource Team personnel.  Communicates with employees (unionized and non-unionized), customers, suppliers, vendors, independent contractors, internal resource managers and project managers.





  • Issue deployment and training schedules to employees and suppliers.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of data for resource capacity using Intech’s in-house Resource Management System (RMP).
  • Process personnel medicals, criminal record checks, FBI checks, SIN applications, work permits, etc.
  • Manage and maintain confidential database records.
  • Assist new hires with application data, government forms, and customer related documentation to ensure data is consistent and accurate.
  • Track completion of site specific documentation deliverables.
  • Initiate security clearance applications for candidates and provide support throughout the process.
  • Monitor and manage security clearances of workers and liaise with Security Clearance Coordinators and subcontractors to ensure the prompt renewal of expiring clearances.


Time and Cost Management

  • Track and report on hours worked in Intech’s in-house time management system (TMP) by overseeing accurate and timely entry of timesheets, comparing against field time report submissions, following up on any discrepancies, and making necessary corrections/edits to timesheets, as necessary.
  • Responsible for weekly reviewing of Payroll for hourly employees to ensure approved hours, overtime, shift premiums, banked time, vacation, and absences are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Interact with employees to make corrections to personal timesheets and expense entitlements.
  • Familiarize oneself with various contracts for the purpose of developing accurate cost and invoicing reports.
  • Verify hours, rates, roles, and expenses and ensure they are aligned with contract terms.



  • Support the Resource Team with sourcing candidates to fill roles through Intech's network of qualified resources, social media platforms, external job boards, virtual job fairs, etc.
  • Complete reports (daily, weekly, etc.) on recruitment activities and issue updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Gain resource availability commitments from prospective candidates, resource managers, and suppliers.



  • Liaise with key stakeholders to determine customer augmented staff requirements.
  • Support the Resource Team with assigning personnel to projects and assessing the need for additional staff and/or contractors to meet demands.
  • Prepare and maintain staffing lists.



  • Guide candidates throughout the recruitment process and ensure a smooth onboarding experience, in partnership with project stakeholders.
  • Prepare onboarding packages and provide guidance and assistance to new hires with onboarding documentation.





  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. This position requires communication with all levels of the business.


Desired Characteristics

  • A minimum of one year experience in an HR administrative and/or recruitment role is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative support role is preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity with the nuclear and/or NDT industry preferred but not required.


Key Characteristics

  • This position requires some travel (approximately 5% or less) to nuclear sites.
  • To gain employment in the nuclear industry, the candidate must be willing to submit to and pass a security clearance investigation through CSIS.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced and changing work environment, while managing multiple and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively and productively in a remote environment.
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines and handle pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines.

  • Proficiency with basic mathematical equations and efficiency with using numerical data in decision making.
  • A positive attitude and a “can do” approach with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
