BWXT is seeking an experience Tooling Coordinator to join the Tooling Engineering Team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure tooling readiness to maintain production timelines.
- Provide technical guidance for production tooling while maintaining support for the Company’s safety culture and security requirements.
- Generate tool drawings, set ups, procedures, information, specifications, or other technical documentation as required.
- Provide guidance and support for new tools as well as changes and repairs to existing tools.
- Evaluate, schedule and direct activities concerning tooling and support special projects such as equipment procurement, refurbishment and staging for production.
- Track location and condition of tooling across multiple sites.
- Lead continuous improvement projects in a team environment.
- Provide expertise and input on new tooling specifications, verification, and try-outs.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Tooling Engineers, Front Line Managers, Shipping, tooling vendors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Planning, Quality and Project Management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associates degree with 8 years of experience in tooling design and/or manufacturing, or 10 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work effectively as an individual and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be a self-starter and highly motivated; willing and able to follow verbal and written instructions, procedures, or standard work practices.
- Possess problem-solving skills relative to large equipment manufacturing.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing tasks/problems including administrative tasks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with CAD and the ability to generate 3D solid models and/or detail drawings.
- Working knowledge of tooling, including but not limited to machining jigs and fixtures, heavy lifting equipment, structural weldments, etc.
- U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship.

Pay: $
The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $77,000 and $116,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
