This position will be based in our Nuclear Operations Group facility in Mount Vernon, Indiana. The primary focus of this position is employee communications.

 

Responsibilities/duties include:

  • Developing and executing effective employee communications strategies that drive employee engagement.
  • Creating a wide variety of company communications such as executive messages, blogs, videos, newsletters, internal websites, social media, brochures, fact sheets, scripts, posters, banners and other employee communications.
  • Planning and executing special events and promotions such as employee social events, community relations activities, customer strategic events and trade shows as needed. Although infrequent, some of this work may include travel and must be accomplished outside of normal business hours and on weekends.
  • Be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive contributor to the efforts of the Communications department and company as a whole. 

 

Minimum job requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field preferred, or 4 years of equivalent experience. 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
  • Ability to report to an assigned work location as scheduled. This is not a remote work opportunity. 

 

Additional job requirements:

  • Excellent storytelling, writing and editing skills. Interviews will include a writing test. 
  • Ability to create and execute a communications plan that delivers measurable results.
  • Ability to post materials to internal and external websites using various software programs.
  • Ability to organize internal and public events involving multiple elements that require detailed organization and coordination with others and represent the company while working at those same events as needed, which may include occasional travel.
  • Ability to work well in a matrixed organization and independently without onsite direct supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and basic graphic design and video-editing software.
  • Other duties as assigned.
