Position Overview:

BWXT is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to design and build practical AI applications and automation solutions across the enterprise.

This is a hands-on role for a versatile IT professional with broad enterprise technology experience and a passion for applying AI to real business and technical problems. The ideal candidate understands how applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, identity, networking, cybersecurity, APIs, and automation fit together and can use that knowledge to build effective AI-enabled solutions.

The AI Solutions Architect will work with business units and IT teams to understand problems, rapidly prototype solutions, integrate enterprise systems, and transition successful solutions into secure, supportable production services.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a technologist and builder who can work across disciplines and apply AI to practical problems.

You may have started your career supporting servers, networks, applications, endpoints, cloud platforms, or enterprise systems and gradually moved into automation, software development, architecture, or AI. What matters most is that you understand how enterprise technology fits together, enjoy solving complex problems, and can turn ideas into working solutions.

You should be comfortable understanding the systems, users, identity, APIs, network, and security considerations behind a problem; determining where AI or automation adds value; and then building a solution that is secure, reliable, and supportable.

We don't expect candidates to be experts in every technology listed above. We value technical breadth, curiosity, problem-solving ability, hands-on experience, and a demonstrated passion for using AI and automation to solve real-world problems.
