On-site in Lynchburg, Virginia
Your Day to Day as a Uranium Recovery Tech B:
- Performs a variety of procedurally defined functions related to Uranium Recovery furnace processes
- Preparing chemical solutions as required for recovery processes
- Operating equipment
- Maintaining all safety, regulatory, and criticality standards.
Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow medium to complex written and verbal instructions and procedures
- Must be able to wear full face respirators
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Must keep a clean workstation
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Work with equipment such as pH meters, hydrometers, flow meters, and volumetric flasks
- Follow complex written and verbal instructions
- DOE "Q" clearance required
- Prior experience with acids is preferred
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance
