Job Description/Duties:

  • Interpret contract requirements from specifications and drawings.
  • Facilitate individual and team solutions to resolve product and process issues and seek improvements.
  • Provide comprehensive quality reviews of procedures, customer submittals, and other documents.
  • Represent the Quality Assurance Unit in project team meetings and customer discussions.
  • Establish and maintain quality controls using automated quality assurance systems.
  • Establish and maintain systems to trend and monitor quality within assigned area.
  • Train and become the subject matter expert on one or more facets of quality assurance (functional assignments).
  • Author procedures and other documents to provide written instructions.
  • Interface with all levels of contributors, management, and customer representatives.
  • Acquire understanding of processes and methods, knowledge of NOG-L and Department policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution/program is required.
  • Strong organization skills, work ethic, and commitment to excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment and proven success working with others to resolve issues (e.g., problem solving, negotiating, facilitating, decision making)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Desired skills or experience include the following areas:  quality, engineering, manufacturing, and/or computers (e.g., MS Office).

US Citizenship, with no dual citizenship is required for this position.

 

Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
