BWX Technologies, Inc. is looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager for its Lynchburg, VA location!

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager oversees planning and implementation of analysis strategies and activities. In this position, your duties include interpreting raw data and information in a way that helps the company make critical financial and business decisions. This job may require you to make reports to upper management and customers about your analysis.

 

Job Description/Duties:

  • Manage customer engagements and timely submittals.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning process.
  • Perform forecasted financial modeling and analysis.
  • Lead and maintain forward pricing rates, quarterly billing rates, and disclosure statement changes and impacts.
  • Ensure financial data maintains compliance with FAR and CAS.
  • Analyze actuals against budget and forecast and prior year.
  • Support decision making by providing stakeholders with timely, detailed and meaningful insights and visibility on business performance.
  • Lead and deliver on Digital Finance transformation by identifying areas for technology adoption and streamlining.
  • Perform analysis where required to assist in management decision making.
  • Lead and support internal/external/customer audit.
  • Complete quarterly risk and opportunity compilation.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Must possess at least six (6) years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance, if required.

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Supervisor/leadership experience preferred, but not required.
  • Must have strategic planning skills and ability to make decisions.
  • Must be well organized and be able to follow standard procedures.
  • Ability to interact and maintain effective communication with employees and customers in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Visual Basic experience preferred.
  • Power BI experience preferred.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.

 

 

Pay: $112,000 - $169,000

 

The base salary range for this position in VA at the start of employment is expected to be between $112,000 and $169,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
