Field Operations Technician – BWX Technologies, Inc.  -  Technical Services Group - NOG  -  Lynchburg, VA


 Job Responsibilities:


  • Has developed an in-depth understanding and expertise in work practices, processes, and operations, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.


  • May work autonomously, but within established practices and work procedure packages to complete assignments.


  • Provides input to safe work planning and provides solutions to risks and potential problems that many occur.


  • Proposes improvements to processes/methods and exercises judgment to identify and solve problems.


  • Uses in-depth knowledge of how the team integrates with other teams to achieve shared objectives.


  • Provides mentoring and support to team members.  May coordinate work of others but is not a supervisor.



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Individual must submit to and successfully pass a BWXT background check and initial drug screen and periodic drug and alcohol screening exams. 
  • Individual must meet and maintain all the requirements and conditions for employment with BWXT TSG as outlined in the company policies.
  • Five years of experience as a minimum in a similar work environment is preferred (D&D and or Construction installations).
