Cunico, a BWXT company, was founded in 1951 in Long Beach, California and specializes in naval products for submarines, aircraft carriers, naval surface ships and LNG manifold/valve systems. This team manufactures Level 1 cold-formed and specialty fittings, piping systems and valves to Military Spec for the U.S. Navy, Electric Boat, Newport News, BAE Systems, Navantia, Ingalls and other companies in Europe.

Job Description / Duties:
- Support marketing, manage development, construction, and delivery of FRP valves and cargo winches to customers.
- Prepare quotes.
- Work with sub-tier suppliers.
- Work with shop supervisor to monitor assembly and test operations.
- Assure certification of product to Navy specifications.
- Assist shipping department for product delivery.
- Develop monthly forecast for the valve/winch production schedule.
- Support plan operation and schedule.
- Follow up in shop as needed to keep the schedule on track.
- Report and review with management regarding changes.
- Able to read drawings and material test reports.
- Work closely with design engineering and purchasing manager to have material in place and drawings ready as needed.
- Work with QC department to track all required tests are in plan and completed per schedule.
Job Qualifications / Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required. Applicable relevant experience may substitute in lieu of a degree.
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, fab drawings, and technical specifications and standards is required.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
