BWXT is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for its location in Long Beach, California!

Job Description/Duties:

  • Assure consistent quality of production by overseeing and improving the existing quality systems; establish in-house NDT (VT, MT, and PT) program and capability; validate processes; oversee all testing, create, and certify objective quality documentation; manage the quality team, and quality archives.
  • Create and approve all techniques, ensure they meet client and project requirements
  • Department procedure creation, maintenance and review
  • Lead internal and external, including customer and ISO, audits
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated/certified per required procedures and client requirements
  • Develop, train, and technical oversite of Level I and II technicians in the method certified
  • Certify & re-certify inspectors

 

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university is required.
  • Must have NDT level III certified in multiple methods. VT, PT, and MT are required. UT is a plus.
  • Must have at least 5+ years of related experience.  
  • Must have strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
