I.T. Support Analyst 


We are recruiting for an I.T. Support Analyst for our Kanata, Ontario facility.





The job will consist of the following:


·         End user support for Microsoft Windows OS and Office.

·         Support for engineering applications.

·         Desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting.

·         Deploying IP phones.

·         Supporting cell phone issues.

·         Remote assistance for users.

·         Answering helpdesk related calls.

·         Software packaging and deployment.

·         Basic network troubleshooting.

·         Deploying laptops and desktops.

·         Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

·         Occasional travel between company sites across Southern Ontario is required.




·         Must be able to obtain and maintain the “clearance” required for access to Canadian Export Controlled and company sensitive information.

·         Must possess previous experience in a technical call center, customer service team or IT/Help service desk.

·         Experience with desktop operating systems, including Windows 7 and Windows 10.

·         Hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and Group Policy.

·         Working knowledge of Unix or Unix like environments is preferred.

·         Working knowledge of LAN and WAN environments and hardware.

·         Working knowledge of Server and Storage hardware and infrastructure.

·         Knowledge of LANDesk and TrackIT preferred.

·         Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues is required.

·         Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.

·         Ability to present ideas in user-friendly, business-friendly and technical language.

·         Highly self-motivated and directed.

·         Keen attention to detail.

·         Strong documentation skills.

·         Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

·         Exceptional customer service orientation.

·         Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

·         Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning.

·         Ability to work in local and remote teams.

·         Ability to work a flexible schedule.

·         Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including typing.

·         Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

·         Valid Ontario ‘G’ or equivalent driver’s license required.
