Position Overview:
As the Production Control Planner plans and coordinates activities between various departments such as procurement, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure that production schedules are met efficiently, resources are utilized optimally, and project deadlines are consistently achieved without compromising on quality. The Production Control Planner integrates production plans, delivery schedules, and resource allocations to include material inventory, anticipating potential production impacts due to disruptions in equipment, material inventory supply and consumption, and people and equipment resources.

Your Day to Day as a Production Control Planner for NOGJ:
Developing and managing production schedules to meet customer demand and company targets
- Coordinating with procurement and inventory teams to ensure materials are available as needed
- Monitoring production processes and correcting schedule deviations
- Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data
- Collaborating with engineering, technical, and quality assurance teams
- Ensuring compliance with production standards and regulations
- Preparing reports on production performance and presenting to management
- Implementing improvements to optimize production efficiency
- Troubleshooting production problems and implementing corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate records of production activities
- Forecasting future production requirements based on market trends and sales data
- Managing production-related documentation and records
- Training and guiding production team members on scheduling procedures
- Communicating production goals and changes to relevant stakeholders
- Implementing lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management or other related discipline and eight (8) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be familiar with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Project
- Good problem-solving ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interface with both internal and external customers
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance

Pay: $$85,000 - $$134,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$85,000 and $$134,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
