Position Overview:
As our Production Support Manager, you will report to the Sr. Manager of Programs and will be responsible for management and direction of the warehouse and logistics functions for the Jonesborough facility.

Your Day to Day as a Production Support Manager – BWXT NOGJ:
- Supervises the activities of warehousing, shipping, receiving and/or transportation
 
- Supervises the preparation and maintenance of records and reports covering the acceptance of materials, parts, and equipment from suppliers, including the identification and verification of supplier data
 
- Programs the proper type of warehousing for a broad range of equipment, materials, and conditions
 
- Plans and coordinates the in-process store activity to prepare and deliver required quantities of materials to their point of use
 
- Responsible for conducting continuous cycle and periodic physical inventory of all stock on-hand
 
- Ensures proper identification of all stock, handling requirements and special storage requirements in keeping with security and safety directives and government laws and regulations
 
- Controls release of materials and/or tools and equipment, including the issuing of proper documentation
 - Maintains continuous safety surveillance, and instructs and investigates safety problems
 
- Coordinates with operating production or engineering personnel to resolve problems, expedite deliveries of tools, materials, supplies, and to determine priorities
 
- Prepares reports and maintains records regarding unit's activities including work in process, activities completed, machine and material utilization and employee work time
 
- Manages and coordinates one or more production support functions to meet the Company’s production goals
 
- Provides administrative leadership to issues and concept definitions critical to the maintenance of the Company’s business posture
 
- Advises direct reports in the resolution of operational problems based on specific goals, and Company policies
 
- Establishes operational policies which affect direct report multi-level functional groups
 
- Interprets, executes, and recommends policy changes
 
- Submits and administers operational budgets, schedules, and commitments
 
- Manages and administers all property and safety guidelines and requirements
 
- Prepares workload projections and ensures integration of plans and schedules with current and proposed programs
 
- Establishes manpower, material and facilities needs to support assigned functions
 
- Develops and implements cost reduction programs as appropriate for production support requirements
 
- Responsible for monitoring program status and evaluating actual performance versus schedules
 
- Coordinate with appropriate departments and determine priorities, resolve problems, and expedite deliveries of materials and supplies
 
- Acts as resource person to subordinate personnel and associate departments in the application and interpretation of BWXT NOGJ policy, management directives, standard practices as well as engineering, military, Federal, state and local codes, standards and specifications as they relate to assigned areas
 
- Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to complete assignments would normally result in serious delays to assigned projects with considerable expenditure of time, human resources, and funds without jeopardizing future business activity
 
- Maintains contacts with inter-organizational and external representatives. May participates in briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific and/or organizational projects or operations
 
Required Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or technical school equivalent and 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience in related area/field.
 
- Experience with Oracle or SAP, and MS Office
 
- Must have a high consciousness for personnel, facility and equipment safety
 
- Good verbal and written communication skills
 
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 
- Project management skills
 
- Supervisory and administrative skills including the ability to select, appraise, motivate and develop subordinates
 
- Ability to provide effective direction, leadership and work effectively in a team environment

- Knowledge of all safety and industrial hygiene regulations and requirements for assigned activities
 
- Knowledge of all pertinent Federal, state and local regulations, codes and guidelines as they related to assigned activities
 
- Skills and abilities to provide functional and administrative guidance for activities in defined scope of responsibilities
 
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management and individual contributors
 
- Maintain tracking and reporting of all DU shipments for DoD/DoE material including 741, 742, 742C and related forms. Submitting required reports as needed to Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards Systems (NMMSS).
 
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
 
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) or Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance
 
- US Citizenship with no dual citizenship

Pay: $$98,000.00 - $$154,000.00
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$98,000.00 and $$154,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
