Position Overview:
As our Construction Manager for High Purity Depleted Uranium (HPDU), you will play a pivotal role in establishing and standing up the HPDU facility at NOGJ. This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HPDU construction project from inception to completion. This role will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The role will lead a team of construction subcontractors and liaise with clients and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Your Day to Day as a Construction Manager for HPDU:
Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Develop detailed project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a sub-contractor team of project managers, engineers, and foremen, providing guidance and support throughout the construction process.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment focused on safety and quality.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate project updates, issues, and solutions to stakeholders effectively.
Budget and Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and financial reporting.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiencies to maximize profitability.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards at all stages of construction.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and adherence to specifications.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Monitor changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, managing any deviations accordingly.
Procurement and Contract Management:
- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Personnel Management:
- Fosters an inclusive and supportive workplace culture that values differing perspectives and skills across all generations, encouraging innovative thinking and collaboration.
- Provides coaching and counsel to construction subcontractors on performance management and conflict resolution.
- Supports project changes by guiding team through transitions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP)) are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Pay: $112,000 - $177,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $112,000 and $177,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
