Project Engineer 1 - BWX Technologies, Inc. - (BWSR) - Idaho Falls, ID
BWSR is the overhaul Program Subcontractor at the Naval Reactors Facility in Idaho Falls, ID. The main project areas at the site include remediation of historical research facilities, characterization of site-infrastructure to support on-going maintenance and construction.
Job Description/Duties:
- Performs routine assignments as entry level based on knowledge and exposure to fundamental engineering theories, principles and concepts.
- With instruction, guidance and direction from others, works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines within a particular area of expertise.
- Solves routine problems using existing procedures and standard practices.
- With instruction and guidance, understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- Perform routine engineering to support construction and infrastructure upgrade projects in a nuclear facility.
- Prepare work procedures to perform construction and infrastructure upgrade activities.
- Maintain project-related documentation and preparing required reports.
- Maintain knowledge of technical requirements applicable to the assigned scope of work.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science from an Engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural).
- Must be a US Citizen, no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain or maintain a DOE "L" security clearance - Current clearance a plus.
- Must obtain and maintain Radiological Controls and other qualifications as directed by Naval Reactors.
