BWSR is the overhaul Program Subcontractor at the Naval Reactors Facility in Idaho Falls, ID. The main project areas at the site include remediation of historical research facilities, characterization of site-infrastructure to support on-going maintenance and construction.

Job Description/Duties:

 

  • Requires expanded knowledge and experience in area of engineering and are still requiring higher-level knowledge, skills, and building familiarity of the company, processes, and customer.
  • With a moderate level of guidance and standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and standards procedures and precedents
  • Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
  • No supervisory responsibilities, but may provide guidance to new associates. 
  • Perform detailed engineering to support construction and infrastructure upgrade projects in a nuclear facility.
  • Prepare comprehensive work procedures to perform construction and infrastructure upgrade activities.
  • Maintain project-related documentation and preparing required reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of technical requirements applicable to the assigned scope of work.

 
Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited Engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural) 
  • Design or structural engineering experience is highly desired.
  • Previous experience in the nuclear or radiological field is desirable.
  • Must be a US Citizen, no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain or maintain a DOE "L" security clearance - Current clearance a plus.
  • Must obtain and maintain Radiological Controls and other qualifications as directed by Naval Reactors.
