BWSR is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician for its Idaho Falls, Idaho location.

 

The Electrical Engineering Technician will be part of a diverse and multi-discipline team working a variety of projects including new installation, renovation of existing nuclear facilities, and demolition of old nuclear facilities.

 

Job Description/Duties:

 

  • Reviewing drawings and making field inspections to ensure accuracy of drawings, (this includes climbing ladders, accessing tight clearance areas, elevated heights, etc.).
  • Specifying electrical components for new and renovated equipment in accordance with job specific electrical codes and standards.
  • Preparing technical work documents that specify installation requirements.
  • Follow work to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • Associate’s degree is desired.
  • Current or previous licensed electricians preferred.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Knowledge of project engineering activities (task plans, schedules, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong team player with the ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Must be physically qualified to perform the duties of the job description.
  • Previous experience in the nuclear or radiological field is desirable.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen - no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain or maintain a DOE "L" security clearance - Current clearance a plus.
  • Must obtain and maintain Radiological Controls and other qualifications as directed by Naval Reactors.
