Position Overview:
As our Lead Test Examiner, you will provide oversight, verify effectiveness, and continuously improve the NDE training qualification programs of other NOG facilities and Supplier Base.

On-site in Euclid, Ohio

 

Your Day to Day as a Lead Test Examiner:

  • Provide technical counsel, interpretation of specifications and other support to NOG facility Quality Management, Test Examiners, and their suppliers to ensure the highest level of reliability and compliance.
  • Works with facility Test Examiner’s and Quality Management to resolve facility and Supplier NDE issues.
  • Perform source inspections on NDE/NDT and other related inspections at suppliers.
  • Develop and administer training and testing programs related to both commercial and military non-destructive testing specifications as needed. Specifications include NAVSEA 250-1500-1, MIL STD 2132, NSTR-99, TP 271, TP 1688, ASNT TC1A, etc.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in applicable field is preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in NDT methods such as Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant and /or Ultrasonics.  Experience in the Naval Reactors Test Examiner program desired. 
  • Auditing Experience desired. 
  • Acts as a resource to other team members; lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in MT/PT and UT and general knowledge in related areas.
  • Works well with people to improve inspection performance through monitoring, mentoring and instruction development. 
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area may integrate with others.
  • Requires conceptual knowledge of and experience in UT area of expertise and can learn from other experts to develop additional skill sets and capabilities.
  • Solves standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment and precedents.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOE security clearance. 
  • Travel is required.  Expect trips outside of local area once or twice per quarter

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $65,000 and $103,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
