  • Shift Premiums: 2nd/3rd shift = $1.00/hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection of complex castings, forgings, and in-process and completed product to verify conformance to requirements. 
  • Accurately document nonconformances that are found during inspections. 
  • Accurately record all data as required on records, logs, data sheets, routings, sketches, and reworks.
  • Perform first piece inspection to verify that manufacturing process meets blueprint specifications.
  • Be able to work from written procedures, operation sketches, blueprints, assembly prints, routings, and reworks. 
  • Must be able to accurately use a wide variety of complex inspection devices such as plates, comparators, verniers, jo-blocks, snap gages, mics, and electronic indicators. 
  • Perform necessary mathematical calculations to validate/verify dimensional relationship and accuracy. 
  • Must have the ability to work an off shift (2nd shift: 3:00pm to 11:00pm and/or 3rd shift: 11pm to 7am)
  • Must have the ability to pass the Alloy Identity Certification. 
  • Must have the ability to be certified for the walky stacker and be able to use a hoist. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED equivalence.
  • Must have two (2) years inspection experience.
  • Must be willing and available to work any shift (2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm, 3rd shift: 11pm - 7am).   

  • Apply basic math skills. 
  • Have thorough understanding of ANSI Y14.5.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and operational sketches. 
  • Possess skills necessary to interpret and follow operating procedures.
  • Possess skills necessary to maintain accurate documentation of inspection data.
  • Possess sufficient computer skills.
  • Pass all applicable visual/dimensional written and operational examinations. 
  • Use a variety of complex inspection gages. 
  • Meet required vision standards.

 

The starting rate for this position in Ohio (US-OH) is $33.85 per hour. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
