Capacity Planning Analyst - BWX Technologies, Inc.  -  Euclid, OH

The Capacity Planning Analyst is responsible for the management and analytics of multiple data systems to optimize product flow across the manufacturing facility. They will work closely with Planning, Scheduling and Analytics teams to provide capacity management solutions for continuous improvement of Production Control business processes. An ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and proficient communication skills to successfully facilitate cross-functional meetings to present departmental capacity analysis and provide resource management solutions to meet on-time delivery commitments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create high level business production plans (forecast; 2+ years out)
  • Build and maintain the capacity and demand models for assigned manufacturing areas.
  • Generate departmental NOG-E load boards with production hours analysis by part/operation detail.
  • Develop capacity planning tools to guide Production Control decision making.
  • Evaluate upcoming project demand requirements to accurately identify manpower and work center capacity constraints.
  • Manage and communicate high level production plans to Production Control and Program Management to better facilitate day to day operations supporting contract deliverables.
  • Communicate overall project health to Production Control and Program Management.
  • Re-direct Production Planning and Scheduling objectives as necessary based on overall performance and unforeseen constraints.
  • Construct various scenarios of current and future contract proposals supporting business objectives.
  • Develop and provide business metrics and reports.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in production planning, Inventory Control, and/or Scheduling.
  • Bachelor's degree with business-related major, experience can substitute for education minimum. 
  • SAP or similar ERP system experience. ProModel and/or EVM experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power Query and/or Power BI.
  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate and organized.
  • Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • Great attitude and proactive approach to identifying and solving complex problems.

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000 and $109,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
