Training Systems Specialist -  Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc.  -  Erwin, TN


Summary Description of Job:

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating training systems plant-wide which provide for effective and efficient identification and documentation of training.  Administer systems to assure employee qualifications.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for Maintaining/Updating/Administering the Training & Qualification (T&Q) System to ensure that it continually meets license conditions, customer requirements, and procedural compliance.  Function as systems specialist.
  • Daily data input and verification of qualifiers such as procedures, LOA's jobs, and job requirements and training documentation.
  • Manage plant-wide individual position requirements.  Track and identify deficiencies.
  • Maintain/update/administer the Job Assignment System to ensure that job set-up accurately reflects requirements needed to conduct the job.  Function as systems specialist.
  • Train and direct users daily in systems capabilities, implementation, and use.
  • Maintain security integrity by determining the appropriate level of system transaction access given to each employee.  Maintain profiles to match job responsibilities.
  • Define system problems and ensure corrective measures are implemented.  Act as liaison between users and Information Services Department.
  • Interface with regulators, customers, and internal auditors to provide system function and training documentation details.
  • Maintain plant-wide Toolbox Training procedure program.
  • Support Training Specialists and perform various training projects as directed by Training Manager.


Educational Requirements of Job:


  • B.S. -- Technical, Computer Science or Business degree preferred OR 8 years' experience in related field may be substituted.


Experience Requirements of Job: 


  • With B. S. degree three-five years of experience in database maintenance activities and the ability to interact with others OR without B. S. degree 11 years of experience in database maintenance activities and the ability to interact with others.
