SNM Accountability Specialist - MC&A -  Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc.  -  Erwin, TN

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

This position is responsible for the accountability records required by regulatory agencies, customers, and the NFS Financial Department for receipt, shipment, and storage of special nuclear materials.

 

Representative Responsibilities:

 

1.  Maintain accountability control ledgers for special nuclear material shipped into or out of the plant. 

2.  Prepare DOE/NRC transfer documents for shipments of nuclear material.

3.  Prepare billing documents for each lot of fuel shipped or billed in place each month.

4.  Prepare material balances for all special nuclear materials processed in the plant.

5.   Review reports against accountability ledgers every six months and reconcile any differences.

6.   Review reports against accountability ledger monthly and reconcile differences.

7.  Assist with bi-monthly and semi-annual inventories of special nuclear material.

8.  Prepare periodic reports as to the shipment, receipt, and inventory of special nuclear materials as required by NFS management and/or NFS customers.

9.  Coordinate and schedule receipts/shipments of nuclear materials.

10.  Prepare bias adjustments to 741's and DD-250s.

11.  Assist Corporate, NRC, DOE, customer, and NFS plant personnel in audits, evaluations, appraisals, etc. of the NFS nuclear material accountability system and follow-up on corrective action in areas of responsibility.

 

 

Educational Requirements:

B.S. degree OR 8 years of relevant experience.

 

Experience Requirements


With B. S. degree, three - five years working knowledge of NRC/DOE requirements for the preparation and revision of NRC/DOE special nuclear material transfers OR without B. S. degree 11 years of relevant experience.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $86,000.00

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $53,000.00 and $86,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
