Human Performance Improvement Specialist 1 -- Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. - Erwin, TN
Summary Description of Job:
In collaboration with the Human Performance Improvement Manager, HP&L Specialist 1 position is responsible for the development, execution, maintenance and support of training and data collection processes for the Human Performance Improvement department. Performs a wide variety of assignments to support departmental training and technical processes.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Conduct/facilitate needed Human Performance Training classes.
2. Support HuP Manager in updating Human Performance Training course content.
3. Support HuP Team activities through the reinforcement of the following: Ensure teams have effective facilitators, active HuP gap efforts and conduct periodic self-assessments.
4. Lead Human Performance Critique (HuPC) investigations and advise/assist other investigatory teams on Human Performance and Safety Culture elements.
5. Support NFS conduct and continuous improvement of the Operating Experience (OE) Program by: Preparing OE screening packages. Monitoring the OE library for status changes of OE items and provide feedback of the effectiveness of the program.
6. Support the continuous improvement of the observation process performed by all levels of management. Analyze any reports for analysis of data to improve safety, quality, and reliability of plant operations. Responsible for scheduling observations across all plant areas.
7. provide support to the HuP Manager during Safety Culture Monitoring Panel quarterly and special meetings. Provide interpretation and understanding of the Safety Culture dashboard ongoing inputs.
8. Support HP&L Management during the administration of Safety Culture assessments and surveys. This may include: coordinating survey scheduling and administration for independent nuclear standard assessments and internal pulse surveys. Schedule and coordinate group and individual interviews.
9. Demonstrate strong training and analysis skills.
10. Demonstrate effective organizational and time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements of Job:
B. S. degree -- Science, education or related degree.
Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond educational or equivalent requirements):
With B.S./B.A. degree three - -five years of experience OR without B.S./B.A. degree 11 years' experience in human peroformance and/or continuous improvement.
Pay: $92,000-$142,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
