General:

 

  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in own area and general knowledge in related areas.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Solves complex program; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market.
  • Acts as a resource to other team members; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements.

 

Responsibilities include:  

 

  • Perform detailed engineering and prepare comprehensive work procedures to support D&D projects in a nuclear facility.
  • Maintain project-related documentation, status, and prepare required reports.
  • Maintain knowledge of technical requirements applicable to the assigned scope of work.
  • Walk down systems and site areas with craft labor and other project personnel to generate and verify design accuracy
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and according to schedule.
  • Generate construction drawings for specific project tasks using CAD software (Autodesk, Microstation, Solidworks, etc.).

 
Qualifications/Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited Engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural) with a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.  
  • Field experience on electrical systems (both high and low voltage systems and I&C) is highly desired.
  • Electrical and Structural Engineers with P.E are highly desired
  • Previous qualification as an Engineer of Radiological Work is highly desired
  • Able to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings.
  • Efficiency in AutoCad, Microstation, Inventor, Solidworks, or similar CAD and 3D CAD software is highly desired.
  • Previous experience in the nuclear or radiological field is highly desirable.
  • Must be a US Citizen, no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Level "Q" Security Clearance. Current clearance is highly desired.

 

Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
