Position Overview:
Chemist 4 is a senior chemist position with ersponsibility to plan, initiate, and implement technical support of laboratory and plant operations to ensure stated objectives are achieved and to develop methods to increase efficiency of operations.

On-site in Erwin, Tennessee.
Your Day to Day as a Chemist 4:
- Execute multiple areas of responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable analytical requirements.
- Initiate clear concise oral and written reports to fully inform management of project progress and results.
- Plan and develop schedules for complex projects with sufficient detail to accuraetly define pathways erquired for task completion. Implement schedules and control activities to achieve schedule milestones.
- Analyze techniques in assigned areas. Plan and initiate corrective action to ensure activities achieve stated objectives. Verify actions are completed and are effective.
- Function as group leader, when assigned, to direct task group activities to accomplish objectives.
- Provide clear and concise procedures and instructions which effect compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements for operations in assigned areas. Verify effectiveness of these documents.
- Plan courses of action to improve quality and efficiency of operations and ALARA control. Initiate, develop, and coordinate implementation of these plans.
- Initiate recommendations for capital budget items with appropriate justifications.

Pay: $85,000 - $134,000. The base salary range for this position in at the start of employment is expected to be between $ and $ per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
