BWXT is currently seeking a Tax Analyst for its Charlotte, NC location!


Job Description/Duties:

  • Assist with preparation of the consolidated federal income tax return and related partnerships.
  • Assist with preparation of numerous state income and franchise returns on a separate, combined and unitary basis.
  • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Assist with federal, state and local tax audits including preparation of responses to inquiries.
  • Assist with other tax-related special project activities as directed by management.


Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Advanced degree is taxation or C.P.A. is a plus.  
  • Must possess at least two (2) years of related experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge of general tax priniciples and the ability to apply these principles in areas such as federal consolidated returns, partnerships, U.S. international tax concepts, unitary and combined state and local taz reporting, and ASC 740 reporting.
  • Experience with Corptax is required. Experience with SAP, or BPC, is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, but the ability to work independently is required.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
  • Ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

Position requires U.S. citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
