BWXT is currently seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst for its Charlotte, NC location!

 Job Description/Duties:

• Lead the preparation and distribution of quarterly SEC filings on Form 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
• Ensures that all documentation complies with company regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.
• Assist with monthly consolidation, reporting, and financial analysis, as well as quarterly financial forecasting.
• Prepare quarterly business review presentations and related financial analysis.
• Prepare slides for Board presentations.
• Lead the process for the preparation of the Company’s annual benefit plan financial statements.
• Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy.
• Assists with the implementation of new accounting standards.
• Interface with external and internal audit teams on various accounting, financial reporting and internal control matters.
• Collaborate with other corporate departments and business units on financial reporting and accounting issues.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and process improvement activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. 
• Public accounting experience; CPA preferred. 
• Three to four years of related experience including years of supervisory experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Makes day-to-day decisions for a small department.
• Advanced Excel knowledge.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency working with financial statements and forecasting.
• Experience with SAP, BPC, and/or Workiva.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated process improvement.
