BWXT Canada is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Contract Services Manager to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing complex supplier relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of critical products and services. As part of our dynamic supply chain team, you will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and project teams to ensure supplier performance aligns with BWXT’s standards for quality, cost, and delivery. This position does not have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop strategic relationships with 3rd party contract manufacturers and service providers to ensure high performance in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex supply agreements in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize supplier performance, reduce lead times, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain by developing alternate sourcing strategies and contingency plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supplier networks, including corrective action planning, quality improvement programs, and performance scorecards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supplier capabilities with project requirements, ensuring seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Administer contracts throughout their lifecycle, including revision control, schedule management, warranty claim resolution, and dispute management.
- Provide leadership in multi-functional teams during complex supplier negotiations and issue resolution processes.
- Monitor supplier capacity and performance, providing regular reports and insights to management for informed decision-making.
- Support strategic vendor communications across multiple BWXT sites, ensuring alignment on goals and objectives.
- Develop and execute risk management plans in coordination with Legal and Business Line Managers, ensuring balanced terms and conditions that protect company interests.
Education & Experience:
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Management, or a related field. A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in complex manufacturing or highly regulated industries (nuclear experience is a strong asset).
- At least 7 years of direct experience managing 3rd party contract manufacturing relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, component manufacturing, and testing processes.
- Demonstrated success in supplier and risk management, including vendor qualification, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in drafting and managing commercial agreements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[89,000]] and $[[139,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
