Position Overview:
As our Supply Chain Contract Services Manager, you will manage small to mid-size contracts, supplier relationships, and performance expectations to ensure on-time delivery, product quality, and competitive costs for products and services sourced from third-party contract manufacturers and service providers. You will collaborate closely with engineering, quality, operations, and project teams to oversee strategic suppliers and safeguard BWXT’s interests. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will work under the guidance of the Senior Supply Chain Contract Manager.

Your Day to Day as Supply Chain Contract Service Manager:    

  • Manage small to mid-size strategic suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Execute strategies to optimize contract manufacturing and service performance.
  • Oversee order fulfillment and customer commitments.
  • Mitigate supply risks, including obsolescence, excess inventory, and secondary sourcing.
  • Drive cost savings and efficiency improvements across supplier relationships.
  • Support outsourcing plans for assemblies and key components.
  • Develop alternate sourcing strategies to strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Improve supplier performance through lead-time reduction, cost control, and service enhancements.
  • Administer contracts, including revisions, schedules, claims, and issue resolution.
  • Assist in drafting and negotiating supply contracts to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
  • Act as liaison with suppliers on negotiations, changes, and performance discussions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in supplier negotiations and corrective action initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years managing third-party contract manufacturing relationships.
  • 7+ years in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of complex and nuclear manufacturing systems, component production, and testing processes.
  • Experience in negotiation, contract management, supplier and risk management.
  • Proven leadership and project management abilities.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems; planning, scheduling, and forecasting skills are an asset.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,000 and $126,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
