We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager - Component Operations for our facility in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

In this role you will lead teams comprised of engineering, nuclear engineering, project planners/cost estimators, QA/QC and field operations at nuclear utilities and provide effective leadership through communicating expectations and instilling accountability.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

 

  • Direct the overall technical, cost and schedule requirements on assigned contracts, including engineering and field services.
  • Interface with customer to ensure that contract requirements are met including cost/schedule reporting, multi-phase design reviews and other engineering deliverables.
  • Develop growth opportunities in Nuclear Equipment business line.
  • Take corrective action as necessary to ensure compliance with technical specifications and schedule commitments.
  • Develop proposals for component supply projects and lead technical and commercial negotiations.
  • Coordinate subcontracting efforts to ensure that any outsourced work scopes meet all technical requirements.
  • Negotiation and resolution of any technical and/or commercial issues with customers and subcontractors.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • BSc in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years related experience.
  • Significant contract management experience with sophisticated buyers such as nuclear utilities.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Financial understanding of cost, budgets and profit generation.
  • Well organized, able to multi-task and have strong problem solving capabilities.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to effectively impact and influence others.
  • Travel - 0 to 10%.
