Inspection Services Technician (CGSB UT Level II Certification required)
We are currently recruiting for an Inspection Services Technician (CGSB UT Level II Certification required) for our facility in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.
Key responsibilities are:
- Hands-on support of all site pre-deployment activities.
- Execute site work in accordance with all procedures.
- Perform or oversee NDE tasks in the field.
- Prepare inspection procedures and MITP's.
- Assemble, test, and refurbish equipment prior to site deployment.
- Verify/validate equipment and procedures prior to site deployment.
- Assist in training.
- Prepare or review procedures.
- Provide hands-on technical support for equipment set-up, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee work of tradespersons. Ensure site work is executed in accordance with safety requirements, procedures, and inspection plans.
- Interface with customers, site inspectors and vendors.
- Prepare status reports.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance in order to gain access to nuclear power plant sites (OPG/BP).
- Diploma in a mechanical or NDE discipline or equivalent related experience.
- CGSB UT Level II certification is required.
- PAUT (Phased array ultrasonic testing) certification is a plus.
- Other NDE examination (MT, PT and/or ECT) is an asset.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Extensive site work/travel (up to 60%).
- Projects will require shift work and extended work hours.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
- Must be willing to work in a radiological environment.
