What You Will Do

This is not a filing and photocopy role. You will gain hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle while supporting a dynamic, fast-paced HR team.

Employee and Manager Support

  • Support the consistent application of HR policies and practices for non-union employee groups

  • Prepare and process documentation related to transfers, promotions, salary changes and employment verifications

  • Issue travel authorization letters for employees travelling between Canadian and U.S. sites

  • Maintain accurate employee records while upholding strict confidentiality standards

  • Support compliance and data accuracy to help mitigate operational and legal risk

Recruitment Operations

  • Audit recruitment and new hire documentation to ensure compliance and data integrity

Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Coordinate onboarding activities including documentation, HRIS entry and cross-functional collaboration with Payroll, IT and Security

  • Ensure new hires are equipped with required tools and system access

  • Support delivery of new hire orientation

  • Coordinate offboarding documentation and exit interview tracking

HR Programs and Projects

  • Deliver high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders

  • You may also support additional initiatives as business needs evolve.

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resources Management program

  • Foundational knowledge of HR practices and employment processes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel

The base salary range for this position in Cambridge Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $22 and $31 per hour. However, the base wage offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
