HRIS Assistant (1-year Contract with Benefits)

 

We are recruiting for a HRIS Assistant (1-year Contract with Benefits) for our facility in Cambridge, ON.

 

ROLE SUMMARY:

 

This position supports the HRIS Global Team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Data entry:  Maintain the master data in all HRIS modules (primarily SAP and some Oracle) to ensure the integrity of the data at all times.
  • Process employment events (i.e. hire, transfers, promotions, etc.) and process employee life events (i.e. benefits updates, banking, address changes, etc.).
  • Work effectively within multiple scheduling timelines for payroll and other downstream systems/applications to ensure deadlines are not missed.
  • HRIS Liaison:  Serve as an HRIS point of contact for BWXT HR Generalist, Payroll, I.T. and respond to inquiries via email, telephone and in person.
  • Reporting:  Run reports requested by the local BWXT HRIS Analyst as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • An understanding of Human Resource practices acquired through completion of an HR related diploma or through hands-on experience within an HR working environment is preferred.
  • Previous data entry experience, preferably in SAP HR/Payroll is an asset.
  • Previous data entry experience in Oracle is an asset.
  • Aptitude to learn systems and procedures quickly.
  • Ability to continuously pay high attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to work effectively independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to organize and deliver information in a clear and easily understood manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information at all times.
