Superintendent, Fabrication  -  BWX Technologies, Inc.  -  Barberton, Ohio

 

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for directing and coordinating all activities in the production areas. 
  • Responsible for Safety, Quality Schedule and Cost associated with assigned cost centers. 
  • Coordinating all manufacturing functions including shop-to-shop support.
  • Works to identify improvements across all areas of responsibility and makes suggestions for long-term growth and control of expenses. 
  • Interprets and executes all company and division policies as they pertain to production. 
  • Administers all labor relations activities at the shop level; interfaces with union representatives and labor relations personnel. 
  • Production for meeting production schedule requirements and maintaining competitive fabrication spans within budgetary constraints. 
  • Coordinates shop manpower and equipment requirements including acquisitions, justification, maintenance, disposal, utilization and curtailment to meet schedules and budgets. 
  • Responsible for selection and development of supervisory personnel. 
  • Improves utilization through proper hiring, training, development, coding and assignment of personnel. 

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Management or equivalent experience. Degree is preferred. 
  • 8 + years' manufacturing operations experience. Manufacturing leadership/management experience preferred. 

Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship (with no dual citizenship) and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation and previous employment reference verifications.
